Terms of service
Last updated 5 November 2026
These terms cover the asklucy.eu website and the Ask Lucy app, on the web, for Windows and for Mac. Ask Lucy is a service for companies: an organisation signs up, and its people use Ask Lucy at work.
The short version. Your organisation's data stays its own. Use Ask Lucy lawfully and within your organisation's rules. Lucy is an AI assistant and can make mistakes, so check what matters before you rely on it. If your organisation has signed an agreement with us, that agreement comes first.
1. Who we are
Ask Lucy is made by In Good Company SARL, a company established in Luxembourg ("we", "us"). You can reach us athello@asklucy.eu.
2. These terms and your agreement
Organisations use Ask Lucy under an agreement with us (an order form, a subscription or a framework agreement), with a data processing agreement and, where agreed, a service level agreement. Where that agreement and these terms differ, the agreement prevails. "Customer" means the organisation; "you" means the organisation and each person it lets use Ask Lucy.
3. Accounts
Your organisation decides who gets an account, what each person may use, and how they sign in. Keep your sign-in to yourself and tell your administrator, or us, if you think someone else has used it. Your organisation is responsible for what is done under its accounts.
4. Using Ask Lucy
While your organisation's subscription runs, we grant it a non-exclusive, non-transferable right for its people to use Ask Lucy for its business, within the limits and the models it has chosen.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law, or use Ask Lucy to help anyone else break it;
- upload data you have no right to use, or infringe anyone's rights;
- try to reach data or systems you have not been given, or get around limits, access controls or the record;
- disrupt, overload or probe the service for weaknesses, except under a security test we have agreed in writing;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer Ask Lucy, or use it to build a competing service;
- use it to produce malware, spam, or content that harms or deceives people.
Your organisation's own policies may set stricter rules, and apply as well.
6. Your data
What you put into Ask Lucy, and what Lucy makes from it, belongs to your organisation. We process it only to run the service for your organisation, as our privacy notice and the data processing agreement describe. We do not use it to train models. Your organisation can export or delete its data, and when the agreement ends we return or delete it as the agreement says.
7. AI output
Lucy writes with AI models. Answers can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and may resemble what others receive. They are not legal, financial, tax or other professional advice. Check what matters before you rely on it or send it on, and keep a person responsible for every decision. Lucy acts for you only within what you allow, and asks before it sends or changes anything that needs your confirmation.
8. Applications you connect
If your organisation connects other applications, such as its email, calendar or file storage, their own terms apply to them. We are not responsible for those services, only for how Lucy uses the access you give it.
9. Price
Fees, limits and billing terms are those of your organisation's agreement. Unless it says otherwise, prices exclude VAT.
10. Previews
Some features may be marked as a preview. They may change or be withdrawn, and are offered as they are, without the commitments of the service level agreement.
11. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep Ask Lucy available and secure, and the service level agreement, where there is one, sets our commitments. Ask Lucy improves often; we may change features, and we tell customers in good time about any change that takes away something they rely on.
12. Intellectual property
Ask Lucy, its software, its name, the River stone and the painting of Lucy belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you no right to them beyond using the service. If you send us feedback, we may use it freely.
13. Confidentiality
Each of us keeps the other's confidential information confidential and uses it only for our work together, as the agreement sets out.
14. Disclaimers
Except as the agreement or the law provides, Ask Lucy is offered as it is. We do not promise it will be free of errors or suit every purpose.
15. Liability
As far as the law allows, neither of us is liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit, lost business or lost data that could reasonably have been backed up, and each party's total liability is capped as the agreement says or, without one, at the fees paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or anything else the law does not allow to be limited.
16. Suspension and termination
We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other customers at risk, and we tell your organisation why. Your organisation may stop using Ask Lucy as its agreement allows. When it ends, its access stops and its data is returned or deleted as section 6 describes.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We change the date at the top, and for material changes we tell customers before they take effect. If your organisation does not accept a change, it may end its subscription before then.
18. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The courts of Luxembourg City have jurisdiction, unless the agreement says otherwise.
